KYIV, Jan 6 - Ukraine will increase the number of international checkpoints for road and rail traffic on the border with the EU countries and Moldova from the current 57 to 74 by 2030, according to the Strategy for the Development of Border Infrastructure with the EU Countries and the Republic of Moldova until 2030, posted on the website of the Cabinet of Ministers.
According to the document, priority will be given to border infrastructure included in the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T) maps, which will provide access to EU financial instruments. A number of projects will be implemented by 2027 with the help of the CEF program (covers 50% of the project needs).
