KYIV, Jan 2 – The state-owned Energoatom has received a license from Westinghouse to produce tail pieces for nuclear fuel assemblies in Ukraine, the company announced Thursday.
Previously, Energoatom completed licensing for the production of headpieces for fuel cassettes.
"In 2025, we will begin supplying both headpieces and tail pieces manufactured at Energoatom facilities to Westinghouse. This means that some components required for the production of fuel cassettes will be domestically produced," Energoatom CEO Petro Kotin stated on the Energo Live program on the We-Ukraine channel.
