KYIV, Dec 16 - By the end of the year, Ukraine may have six biomethane plants in different regions of Ukraine, instead of seven, as previously predicted, and its export will begin next year, said Heorhiy Heletukha, Chairman of the Board of the Bioenergy Association of Ukraine (BAU).
"I used to say that Ukraine would have seven biomethane projects by the end of the year, but I suspect that Gals-Agro, which produces biomethane in Chernihiv region, will not launch its second project, which is in Kyiv region, this year. As far as I know, it is still in the design stage. That is, six biomethane production facilities have a chance to launch this year," Heletukha said in an interview with the Interfax-Ukraine energy project Energy Reform.
