KYIV, Dec 13 - Ukraine's defense industrial base has grown more than tenfold since February 2022, which is due to the country's current military needs, but after the end of the war, Ukraine will have a very competitive defense industrial base in Europe, said Acting U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine Economic Recovery, Deputy Secretary of State for Management and Resources Richard Verma.
"Once the war ends, Ukraine will have one of the most modern, competitive defense industrial bases in Europe, able to take global market share from Russia and supply allies with NATO-standard munitions and equipment," he said speaking at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Washington on Thursday.
