KYIV, Nov 18 – Ukraine and the United States announced the launch of three new projects in the field of small modular reactors (SMRs), the Ukrainian Ministry of Energy reported, citing agreements reached by the two countries on the sidelines of the COP29 climate conference in Baku.

"This partnership will be implemented under the FIRST program [Foundational Infrastructure for the Responsible Use of Small Modular Reactor Technology]," the ministry noted.
