KYIV, Nov 7 – Ukrenergo together with the Polish system operator PSE are considering the possibility of increasing electricity imports to Ukraine by an additional 150 MW, which could result in a total of 2.5 GW of electricity imports from Europe, said acting head of Ukrenergo Oleksiy Brekht at the tenth Kyiv International Economic Forum (KIEF) on Thursday.
"2,100 MW is the base value that we have and can maintain. Then we have the so-called guaranteed emergency aid value - another 250 MW. And today we will work out another initiative with the Polish system operator, which could provide an additional import volume of 150 MW," he said.
