KYIV, Oct 30 – Ukrainian experts have documented more than 5,800 instances of direct environmental harm due to the war, with initial damage estimates around $60 billion, according to the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
"Experts have recorded over 5,800 cases of direct environmental harm, with preliminary damage estimates around $60 billion," Deputy Foreign Minister Yevhen Perebyinis stated at a joint briefing with the Ministry and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) on the war's environmental impact on Ukraine.
