KYIV, Oct 28 – The Swedish Government has decided to provide a new package of humanitarian aid in the amount of SEK 110 million ($10.4 million) to Ukraine ahead of the winter period, the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a press release on Sunday, October 27.
"Russia targets civilian infrastructure and has knocked out large parts of the heat and electricity supply in Ukraine. Of course, this has serious consequences the colder it gets. A large part of the population therefore experiences difficulty with heating their homes and cooking. That is why the government has decided to send SEK 110 million to a number of humanitarian organizations in Ukraine," Minister for International Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade Benjamin Dousa said.
