KIEV, Jan. 24 ??“ The National Bank of Greece (NBG) signed a preliminary agreement to acquire Ukraine??™s commercial bank Kreditprombank for $500 million, an industry source told Interfax-Ukraine.

The NBG neither confirmed nor denied the report, but had issued a statement saying that it had submitted a binding offer for the acquisition of a majority stake in an undisclosed Ukrainian bank.
