KYIV, Oct 11 – The supply of shopping malls in Ukraine could increase by 570,000 square meters between 2024 and 2026, mostly driven by smaller projects, said Maksym Havriushyn, Chairman of the Ukrainian Council of Shopping Centers (USTC).
"In 2023, developers started new projects in the western part of the country. These are mostly small shopping malls, but they won't be finished by 2024 – they will open in 2025-2026. There will be 25 such projects, including both new ones and those that were halted at the start of the war. Their total area will be 570,000 square meters. Not all of them may open, but there is noticeable movement in this direction," Havriushyn was quoted in a USTC statement.
