KYIV, Oct 11 – DTEK Energy put 16 new coal longwalls into operation in January-September 2024, the company's press service reported on Friday.
According to its data, the company's miners plan to put nine more longwalls into operation by the end of the year.
"This allows us to meet the needs of thermal power plants for fuel at the peak of electricity consumption, accumulate the necessary coal reserves to get through the autumn-winter period and maintain the reliability of the Ukrainian energy system," the report noted.
