KYIV, Sept 30 – Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Szijjarto, during talks with his Ukrainian counterpart Andriy Sybiha in Budapest, said Hungary will continue to support Ukraine's energy supply and will encourage its largest oil and gas company MOL and the power transmission system operator MAVIR to help develop Ukrainian energy.
"I confirmed to the minister that Hungary will continue to support the energy transportation capacities necessary for the security of Ukraine's energy supply (…) In the case of both the transportation of natural gas through Hungary to Ukraine and the export of electricity through Hungary to Ukraine, we do not limit any capacities (…) We [also] continue to encourage large Hungarian companies MOL and MAVIR to help the operation of the Ukrainian energy system at a professional level, using technical and technological advantages," he said at a press conference with Sybiha on Monday.
