KYIV, Sept 27 - Ukraine's Ministry of Digital Transformation has launched the uResidency project, allowing foreigners to open accounts and conduct business in Ukraine, announced Mykhailo Fedorov, Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, Education, Science, and Technology Development, Minister of Digital Transformation.
"Everyone knows about our Diia app, and now foreigners will also experience the benefits of digital services available on smartphones, which have long been accessible to Ukrainians. With uResidency, foreigners from anywhere in the world can register a business in Ukraine and access services online from applying for e-residency status to paying taxes," Fedorov said at the Lviv IT Arena, organized by the Lviv IT Cluster, on Friday.
