KYIV, Sept 26 – The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has maintained its 3% GDP growth forecast for Ukraine in 2024, but has lowered it for 2025 from 6% to 4.7%.
The destruction of electricity generation and transmission facilities and capacities is having a negative impact on the Ukrainian economy and has already interrupted four quarters of significant GDP growth. Taking this into account, the bank has lowered its forecast for Ukraine's economic growth to 4.7% in 2025 from 6% in May, the EBRD said in its Regional Economic Prospects report "Along the adjustment path," released on Thursday.
