KYIV, Sept 18 – The wheat harvest in Ukraine in 2024 amounted to 22 million tons, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food agreed with producers and traders that exports will not exceed 16.2 million tons, which guarantees the availability of 6 million tons of this crop necessary for domestic consumption.

This was stated by the First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Taras Vysotsky on the air of the Unified National Telethon.

"In fact, 22 million tons of the new harvest [of wheat] have been collected. At the same time, our domestic consumption is about 6 million tons. Therefore, production was in any case 3.5 times higher than domestic consumption," he said.
