KIEV, Jan. 23 ??“ The Rating and Investment Information of Japan (R&I) has upgraded the rating of Ukraine's debt liabilities in foreign currency to "BB" from "BB-", the Ukrainian Finance Ministry reported on its official Web site on Tuesday.

"The Finance Ministry has reported that the Rating and Investment Information agency on Jan. 16, 2007, held a rating committee meeting and decided to upgrade the rating of Ukraine's debt liabilities in foreign currency to "BB" with the outlook for ratings being stable," reads the report.
