KYIV, Sept 16 – The real growth of Ukraine's gross domestic product in 2024 will slow down to 3.6% from 5.3% in 2023, according to the forecast given by First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy Yulia Svyrydenko at the event "Economic Policy of Ukraine. Reconstruction during the War" in Kyiv on Monday.
According to her, in January-July of this year, GDP growth was 4%, and next year it is expected to slow down to 2.7%.
Svyrydenko noted that after a 30% decline in the economy in 2022, the main factors for recovery, despite constant shelling and martial law, were the sustainability of Ukrainian business, support from international partners and the restoration of sea exports.
