KYIV, Aug 26 - Emergency power outages are associated with both preventive measures to maintain the balance of the power system and with damage to power equipment in a number of regions, adviser to the Prime Minister of Ukraine, member of the Supervisory Board of Ukrenergo Yuriy Boiko said.
"Electricity restrictions can be associated both with preventive measures and directly with damage to power equipment. Within two hours after the end of the alarm, when it becomes possible to examine the consequences of the combined attack, we will better understand the state of affairs in the power system, and it will be possible to orient consumers on the timing of the restoration of power supply," he said at a briefing in the Ukrainian media center in Kyiv on Monday.
