KYIV, Aug 21 – Ukraine will more than halve barley exports in September due to a reduction in purchases of this crop by China, the analytical cooperative Pusk, created within the framework of the Ukrainian Agrarian Council, reported.
"Significant changes are taking place on the Ukrainian barley market, affecting export prospects. As of August 19, exports of this grain reached 315,000 tonnes, but preliminary forecasts for September are worrying. Contract volumes for August amount to 600,000 tonnes, while only 280,000 tonnes have been contracted for September. This is almost half as much," the analysts noted.
