KYIV, Aug 19 – Ukrhydroenergo is preparing to use EUR 200 million, the receipt of which is expected under a loan agreement between the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the Italian government, the company reported following a meeting between its CEO Ihor Syrota and Italian Ambassador to Ukraine Carlo Formosa.
"The main topic of the meeting was the discussion of the Italian side's support for the resumption of Ukrainian hydropower within the loan agreement between the EBRD and the Italian government, which provides for the allocation of EUR 200 million for the restoration of Ukrhydroenergo hydroelectric power plants damaged as a result of missile attacks," the company said on its website on Monday.
