KYIV, Aug 16 – The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU), together with law enforcement agencies, will check owners of licensed financial companies in the coming months through open and closed databases for Russian passports, deputy head of the central bank Dmytro Oliynyk told the Interfax-Ukraine agency.
"Our clients' application forms do not say that they have Russian passports. We wrote a request to intelligence, to the SBU to confirm Russian passports, and after that, we will be able to cancel the licenses. We "took" this lesson and will check through all open and closed databases, together with intelligence and relevant services, in a few months everyone who has licenses for Russian passports," he said.
