KYIV, Aug 15 – Growth of Ukraine's real gross domestic product (GDP) accelerated to 4.4% in July 2024 from 3.1% in June and 3.5% in May due to a faster harvest than last year, according to the Monthly Economic Monitoring of the Institute for Economic Research and Policy Consulting (IER).
"Overall, real gross value added (GVA) in agriculture is estimated to have grown by 27% year-on-year in July. At the same time, the total grain harvest is likely to be lower this year due to lower yields," the IER notes.
