KYIV, Aug 15 – Transit of Russian gas through Ukraine remains at the technically maximum possible level.

"Gazprom supplies Russian gas for transit through the territory of Ukraine in the volume confirmed by the Ukrainian side through the Sudzha gas metering station (GIS) – 42.4 million cubic meters as of August 15. The application for the GIS Sokhranivka was rejected," Gazprom reported.

The request for the previous day was the same.

Sudzha remains the only route for Russian gas exports through Ukraine to Europe.
