KYIV, Aug 8 – Transit of Russian gas to Europe through Ukraine is decreasing amid tensions in the area through which the pipeline runs and the nomination for Thursday was reduced by 12% compared to the usual level for a weekday.
"Gazprom is feeding Russian gas for transit through the territory of Ukraine in the amount confirmed by the Ukrainian side through the Sudzha metering station – 37.3 million cubic meters for August 8. The request for the Sokhranivka metering station was declined," the Russian gas giant's spokesman Sergei Kupriyanov told reporters.
