KYIV, Aug 6 – In January-July of this year, DTEK Energy miners put 11 new coal longwalls into operation, which allows them to meet the fuel needs of thermal power plants during summer peaks and accumulate sufficient reserves for the upcoming heating season, the energy holding reported on Tuesday.
"Power engineers are working to quickly restore the damaged and destroyed thermal power plant capacities. And miners are doing everything possible to ensure that these capacities have sufficient fuel reserves to cover the summer and winter peaks of electricity consumption," Ildar Saleev, CEO of DTEK Energy, is quoted in the press release.
