KYIV, Aug 6 – In the 11 months of operation of the Ukrainian maritime corridor, 62 million tons of cargo were transported, with 42 million tons being grain.
"Over 11 months, Ukrainian ports managed to handle more than 62 million tons of cargo, of which 42 million tons were grain. In total, this involved over 2,200 ships. These are incredible figures, once again proving that Ukraine is a reliable partner and can ensure the export of goods by sea even during wartime," said Deputy Minister for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development Serhiy Derkach on Facebook on Tuesday after meeting with journalists from Kenya, Nigeria, The Gambia, and South Africa.
