KYIV, Aug 2 – The business confidence indicator in Ukraine's industry dropped by 1.7 percentage points (pp) in July 2024 compared to June 2024, reaching -8.7%. In the manufacturing sector, it decreased by 1.8 pp to -7.4%, according to the State Statistics Service.

Conversely, the business climate indicator in the industry fell by 0.1 pp from June to +0.6%, and in manufacturing, it dropped by 0.3 pp to +0.5%.

The business confidence indicator in the industry started to improve gradually in January this year, rising by 2.6 pp compared to December 2023 to -11% (and in manufacturing by 3.2% to -11.8%), reaching -5.2% by May (and - 2.3% in manufacturing). However, it fell to -7.1% in industry and -5.5% in manufacturing in June and continued to decline in July.
