KYIV, July 30 – Sales volumes of children's goods, pet products, and goods for active recreation and gardening show a stable growth trend compared to pre-war figures, even amid the overall decline in consumer activity in Ukraine, Epicenter's Director of Retail Dmytro Tanko said in an interview with Interfax-Ukraine.
"Despite the challenging living conditions in the country, it's clear that children's goods are not something Ukrainians cut down on. Even at the beginning of the full-scale war, when it seemed people would spend money only on essentials, they bought toys. Supporting childhood remains a priority for Ukrainians even during the hardest times. Despite many children leaving and a drop in birth rates in Ukraine, certain categories of children's goods show upward dynamics, up to 40% compared to the pre-war period. In particular, toys show the best dynamics," Tanko reported.
