 BRUSSELS, July 17 – The newly elected European Parliament adopted a resolution reaffirming the need for further European Union support for Ukraine both in repelling Russian aggression and in ensuring future EU membership.
 The resolution "the need for the EU's continuous support for Ukraine" was voted on Wednesday in Strasbourg during the first plenary session of the European Parliament. A total of 495 MEPs voted in favor, 137 voted against, and 47 abstained. A total of 679 MEPs voted.
