KYIV, July 12 – The UN General Assembly, by 99 votes (nine voted against), adopted a resolution "Safety and security of nuclear facilities of Ukraine, including the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant," which condemns Russian aggression against Ukraine and calls for the withdrawal of Russian troops from Ukrainian territory, including the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant, Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba said.
"I moderated a nuclear safety thematic panel at the first Peace Summit last month. We discussed the importance of taking additional steps to improve it. I am pleased to see that today's resolution advances this important work," Kuleba wrote on Twitter.
