Poland seeks relief on coal burning to generate, supply power for Ukraine
Journal Staff Report

KYIV, July 8 – Poland is working to be able to burn Polish coal without paying for emissions; and electricity generated by Polish power plants for European money should be sent via an energy bridge to Ukraine, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has said.

"The issue of energy is critical. We are working on this now in Poland, and our experts are discussing how we can directly help Ukraine's electricity supply before the onset of winter," Tusk said at a joint press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Poland.
