KYIV, July 8 – The Republic of Moldova has expressed its readiness to supply electricity to Ukraine as part of the "gas for electricity" project by installing generating units on its territory using natural gas supplied by Ukraine for this exchange, according to a joint statement by the Foreign Ministers of Ukraine, Moldova, and Romania.

"To this end, the parties will seek solutions to make the gas infrastructure commercially reliable," the statement said.

The Foreign Ministers also agreed to cooperate in attracting international funds and assistance to implement these projects to strengthen energy security, ensure sustainable development in the region, and promote climate change goals.
