KYIV, July 4 – ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih (AMKR, Dnipropetrovsk region) is urging the Ukrainian government to reconsider increasing the share of electricity imports from 50% to 80% to avoid supply restrictions for consumers of this energy source.
According to a press release on Wednesday, based on the results of electricity imports in May-June this year and its impact on the plant's economy, the region, and the state, AMKR joins the position of several other energy-intensive enterprises in the country concerned about the unreasonably high import requirement.
