KYIV, June 20 – The Verkhovna Rada is close to reaching a consensus on the bill on the construction of the 3rd and 4th power units at the Khmelnytsky Nuclear Power Plant (NPP), Verkhovna Rada Chairman Ruslan Stefanchuk has said.
"I think we are close to consensus, close to bringing this bill to the floor, voting in the first reading," he said at a press briefing on Thursday.
On Wednesday, June 19, representatives of all factions and groups who are "deeply versed in energy issues" spoke with Energy Minister Herman Haluschenko for about two hours and comprehensive answers were given to all questions "regarding the completion of the 3rd and 4th units at the Khmelnytsky NPP," Stefanchuk said.
