KYIV, June 18 – The total area of residential buildings for which permits for construction work (new construction) were issued decreased by 24.4% in January-March 2024 compared to the same period in 2023, to 919,100 square meters, the State Statistics Service reported.

According to the statistics agency, in January-March 2024, the total area of new construction of apartment buildings decreased by 25.8% compared to last year, to 882,300 square meters. The number of apartments in apartment buildings announced at the start of construction decreased by 30.8% and amounted to 9,800.
