KYIV, June 18 – Given the prospect of a difficult winter, businesses should consider launching distributed generation projects to cover their own needs, says Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine Nadiya Bihun.

“Ukrenergo provided us with examples of business cases with different types of generation and payback calculations. In essence, this is a ready-made business case with which you can go to the bank. If there is a business that is ready to build generation for its needs, or maybe there will also be excess that can be sent to the network, we highly welcome this, since we understand that in winter it will be very difficult,” she said at RAU Expo 2024 in Kyiv.
