KYIV, June 13 – The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) in a June report lowered the forecast for the wheat harvest in Ukraine by 8.5% - to 19.5 million tons due to dry weather conditions and increased the corn harvest by 2.6% - to 27.7 million tons.
At the same time, USDA forecasts world wheat production in the 2024/2025 season at 790.8 million tons (less 7.4 million tons compared to the previous forecast), and world exports at 212.8 million tons (less 3.2 million tons). Experts reduced the forecast of ending wheat stocks in the world to 252.2 million tons (less 1.34 million tons).
