KYIV, June 6 - The power of installed gas piston engines, including by businesses, is already measured in tens of MW, but this is critically insufficient, says Oleksandr Kharchenko, director of the Energy Industry Research Center (EIR Center).
“It is difficult to say about the specific number of gas piston installation projects throughout Ukraine: we advise some from start to finish, some asked what to do and do it themselves, and we simply don’t know about others. There are very different situations. If speaking in general, then we are already talking about tens of MW of gas piston engines only. But we must understand that we need not tens of MW, but thousands. And we are still far from reaching this scale, unfortunately,” he said in an interview with the Interfax-Ukraine agency.
