KYIV, June 5 – The labor force in Ukraine, due to military operations and population decline, decreased by 2.1 million people, or about 12%, to 15.2 million, according to the Report on Immediate Economic Policy Priorities for Growth prepared jointly by the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Finance aimed at ensuring economic growth.
"Moreover, about half of Ukraine's labor force is inactive - neither employed nor looking for employment - while almost three-quarters of employers in the country indicate they are experiencing a staff shortage," the authors of the document state.
