LUXEMBOURG, May 31 – Kharkiv has prepared a concept for the Shelter Park project with an estimated cost of EUR 225 million - a multifunctional underground center that combines public space with educational and medical institutions and retail space, and even includes housing stock, said Tetiana Stoliarenko, director of the Kharkiv Investment Agency.
“The Shelter Park project arose from the priorities that time sets for us today. This is, first of all, a question of safety. It (the project) solves the issue of safety, environmental friendliness, comfort, inclusion and energy. Unfortunately, today we are forced to go underground,” she noted, presenting the concept at the second Luxembourg-Ukrainian Business Forum Rapid Recovery of Ukraine, organized by the Luxembourg-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce (LUCC) in Luxembourg recently.
