KIEV, Jan. 16 ??“ Yevhen Kushnariov, a senior member of the pro-government Regions Party, was in a critical condition on Tuesday after apparently being shot by accident during hunting, party officials said.

Kushnariov was in an intensive care unit at a hospital in Izium, the Kharkiv region, following a 6-hour surgery, the UT-1 state television reported. Kushnariov??™s one kidney failed, while another kidney and liver were badly damaged, worsening his condition.
