KYIV, May 28 – Ukrhydroenergo has postponed the implementation of a project to build a hybrid power generation system, which includes a 212 MW energy storage system (ESS) and a 63.9 MW solar power plant, due to the need to allocate funds for recovery after massive attacks by Russia on the company's facilities, said Bohdan Sukhetsky, Deputy Director General for Commercial Activities.
"Unfortunately, the current reality is that the funds needed for new projects are being directed towards restoration. Some of these projects will go towards recovery, especially since our international partners also suggest we proceed in this way," he said during the online presentation "Summer Outlooks: Assessment of Readiness for Risks in the Electricity and Gas Sectors by DiXi Group" on Tuesday.
