KYIV, May 28 – The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) has delivered 25,000 tons of wide-gauge R-65 railway rails of Japanese production to Ukrzaliznytsia, purchased under the Programme for Emergency Recovery from the government of Japan.
According to the Ukrzaliznytsia's press service on Tuesday, the first batch of rails has arrived and has already been shipped to the Mostyska station, with the remaining deliveries scheduled to be completed by the end of 2024. The certificate for the rails was presented to Board Chairman of Ukrzaliznytsia Yevhen Liaschenko by Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Japan to Ukraine Kuninori Matsuda.
