LUXEMBOURG, May 27 – The previously forecasted growth of Ukraine's real Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in 2024, which was 4.6%, has been revised down to 3.5% due to recent destruction of energy infrastructure by Russian aggressors and the resulting energy shortages, reported Ukraine's Deputy Finance Minister Olha Zykova.
"We had to revise the GDP growth for this year. It is important for investors and the audience to understand that the previously forecasted GDP growth of 4.6% was revised to 3.5% solely because of Russia's energy terror and resource shortages," she said at the second Luxembourg-Ukraine Business Forum Rapid Recovery of Ukraine, organized by LUCC in Luxembourg last week.
