KYIV, May 23 – The allocation of U.S. budget aid theoretically covered Ukraine's social-humanitarian expenses in 2024, but the issue of military expenditures remained unresolved, with an additional need estimated at $5 billion, according to Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko.
"At the moment, I think we can talk about a figure of around $5 billion. We are considering how to cover it [the deficit] in the near future," he said on the podcast "What's Happening with the Economy" on Hromadske Radio.
