KYIV, Feb 9 – The actual number of employees of 108 government bodies as of January 1, 2024 was 169,000 people, decreasing by 4%, or 6,800 people during 2023, the Ministry of Finance reported.

“In total, as of the beginning of 2024, government bodies operate (excluding the security and defense sector) the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers and 17 ministries, 21 services (at the end of 2023 the State Service of Ukraine for Children’s Affairs was created), 14 agencies, four inspectorates, four commissions, eight other state bodies, the number of which is established by the government, as well as nine state bodies, the number of which is not established by the Cabinet of Ministers, 24 local state administrations and six judicial authorities,” the Ministry of Finance said in a release.
