KYIV, Jan 24 – The Ministry of Defense sent a letter to the parliamentary committee on finance, taxation and customs policy with a request to exempt the import of pickup trucks for the Armed Forces of Ukraine from customs duties and payment of value added tax (VAT).

As Advisor to Deputy Defense Minister Bohdana Yarova reported on Facebook on Wednesday, a letter requesting permission to import pickup trucks under contracts of the Ministry of Defense at a zero rate and to exempt it from paying VAT was officially sent to the head of the Financial Committee, Danylo Hetmantsev.
