KYIV, Jan 18 – Gas Transmission System Operator of Ukraine LLC (GTSOU) at the end of 2023 increased the transportation of natural gas from the EU countries and Moldova by 140%, to 4.3 billion cubic meters (in 2022 it was 1.8 billion cubic meters).
This was announced by GTSOU General Director Dmytro Lyppa, summing up the results of 2023 for the company on his Facebook page on Thursday.
"We are moving dynamically towards the full integration of our system into the neighboring systems of EU countries, both from a technical and commercial point of view. Such integration will allow us to create an alternative to the sacrosanct 'transit'. Total incoming gas along the western borders amounted [in 2023] to more than 4.3 billion cubic meters," he wrote.
