KYIV, Jan 16 – The fertilizer market in Ukraine in 2024 will change dramatically due to the introduction of customs checks of the origin of imported goods and the forced transition to the use of domestic products, which will still not reduce the costs of farmers, the information and analytical agency Infoindustry reported.
"November and December for imports were actually a failure. In two months, we imported fertilizers, as in October 2023. Fertilizer consumption is skewed towards nitrogen... In 2023, the consumption of nitrogen to all other types of fertilizers amounted to an unprecedented 3:1. In total, Ukraine used 4.35 million tonnes of fertilizers in 2023," analysts stated.
