KYIV, Jan 11 – President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said the initiative to provide Ukraine with 1 million artillery shells from the European Union can be completed; in particular, he would like to conclude specific contracts with European states for the supply.
"[We are waiting] for very practical decisions. Decisions on the artillery package. This is very powerful and correct. The only thing is that we were counting on it in March [of 2024]. And it was before March that there was such a conversation and proposal the Estonian side to other EU leaders – to provide 1 million [shells to Ukraine]. We did not receive the full package, unfortunately," he said at a joint press conference with the Estonian Prime Minister in Tallinn.
